Pamela Joyce Johnson - my sister-in-law, a friend, mother, sister and daugther - died December 20th from cancer.
Terry Armour - my friend and a damn good entertainment reporter - died yesterday of a heart attack.
Both gone too soon, but what a difference they made while you were here. I can only hope to do the same.
Life is too short to waste even a second on being unhappy. As long as you can take a breath - there is hope and a chance for a new start. If something isn't working in your life, all you have to do is make a different choice. That's one of the wonderful things about life.
Nailah O. Franklin and Brandi Drexler - both died from senseless violence this year.
Because I am you and you are me - I will never forget.
Rest in Heavenly peace 2 both of them. My mother, who passed away from cancer 3 years ago, has just made 2 new friends. It's a shame. Gone WAY 2 soon. I had the pleasure of meeting Terry Armour 7 years ago. He was such a true & down-2-earth person. A sad day indeed. Much luv, Nikki!
ReplyDeleteJust doing some catching up and checked out your post.
ReplyDeleteI was very sorry to hear about your sister-in-law. Death is already a hard thing to deal with, but it is even harder watching a loved one lose their life due to illness.
I was sad to hear about Terry Armour as well. I really did enjoy reading his column.
While reading this I actually thought about somebody we were both acquainted with -- Dex. Hard to believe it will be a year on Jan 8.
Peace.
My condolences to you and yours. I loss so many dear to my heart this past year too, words can not express because the wounds are so deep. But I keep in mind each day that passes, we are only a loan from God. That gives me a peace to know it's his love that comforts me because those who died in his name are with him too, and finally at peace.
